Welcome to the TAC

A small brick house adjacent to Clark-LeClair Stadium on the East Carolina University campus is home for the Technology Advancement Center (TAC) - - a learning laboratory where futuristic technology addressing needs critical to distance, mobile, and hybrid elearning is discovered, tested, and applied. 

One of the primary goals of the Center is to conduct research and test new technology for communication, computer and information technology, and then apply this technology in innovative ways that enhance the quality and excitement of distance learning.  

Sometimes the projects that we create are not concerned with learning at all, but are directed toward the improvement of organizational effectiveness or quality of life of students, staff, and faculty on campus. In some cases these technology solutions have impact beyond the university and Eastern North Carolina and are carried into distant lands and places.
